Thanks for appreciation!

I can also see that you've got lots of cool and inspiring material here. Both content and technique are great.

It is nice how you get "personal" with your models in the descriptions. ;) It adds the atmosphere.

I wish I had taken a hint from you earlier and added some backgrounds in my pieces... Having a nice model is one thing, but even a minimal environment in the form of cloth sheets or whatever, adds quite much of real feel.

Thank you! I like your girls too, good realistic 3D girls are very rare in furry art and the fur's rendering looks excellent.

I'm always happy to hear the way I'm doing backgrounds for pinups works. :) It took me a long time to figure out a type of background I'd be happy to paint. I like detailed pictures and openly fantasy scenes too but there's already tons of artists doing them in furry art so I thought I'd specialize in something more unusual such as characters posing in a studio-like setup. I like the idea of having the character as the sole imaginary element in the picture and treating it like an actual person who came for a modeling session... that's how it plays out in my head really. :)

Indeed, realism is my goal here. So I'm always happy to hear that it works. :) But yeah, hardly anyone does it similar way to me. I actually wish I had more serious competitors in 3D.

About your approach, I don't know much about traditional painting techniques, but it seems to me, that your level of realism & detail matches the situation where you'd paint live human subjects. ;)

I like detailed pictures too, but the amount of work these require in 3D can be overwhelming! That's why they are so rare in my gallery. Even simpler backgrounds can be occasionally troublesome - after all, they need to match the realism level of the character, no matter if they're simple or not. So it was too tempting for me to skip them altogether, and go for sort of smooth background sheet only.

It's actually relieving to hear, that finding the right kind of environment wasn't a trivial matter for you too. So it's not just me being lazy, this issue is real. ;p

I know well how it goes with these sessions. :D Only in my case it resembles photography... 'get the pose - no, not like this - left leg over here - arms like this - now, the light should be more to the side - crap, previous pose was better...' :p Because it really goes like this, set the pose and the lights, and render. See the results, then adjust.
